KAMP, better known as the Kuya Ate Mentorship Program, is a program established to encourage and establish a better space for the Filipin@ American youth. Started by the Sala Talk Collective, it was mainly a supplementary education program that worked hand in hand with the Filipino Language teachers that originally based at Mira Mesa High School, and has now grown, expanding to all across San Diego County.
KAMP is hosting their annual Open Mic event at Queen Bee’s on Thursday, September 30th, from 6-9PM. This is a great opportunity to meet other Filipin@-American students from other schools, all the while enjoying some pure talent and entertainment. Check out the facebook event here!
